On Saturday 11th June 2016 we attended the Bradford Means Business awards as we were on the shortlist for the retail, hospitality and leisure award. Click here to watch our video from the night, where we were honoured to have won!
This year the retail, hospitality and leisure award was sponsored by our local newspaper the Telegraph and Argus and we were nominated thanks to our customers. The award is based on customer service, which is something we pride ourselves on offering. If you are one of the customers who nominated us, thank you!
The evening itself was once again held at the Aagrah restaurant at Thornbury in Bradford, where we were met with a drinks reception before taking our seats. We had a delicious meal before the awards ceremony began.
What we like about the Bradford Means Business awards is before the winner is announced we are shown a short video of each nominated company or person, this way the audience gets to find out a little bit more about each business or person who is shortlisted in the different categories. Our Managing Director, Paul, was featured on our video with some great close ups of our Pennine bikes.
Once the winner was announced Paul went on stage to collect the winning trophy and he was asked a few questions. It was such an honour to win and be recognised amongst our peers in Bradford. This summer we celebrate 70 years of business and to receive this award is another reason to celebrate and make this is a fabulous year!
You can read more about the event and all of the local winners on the Telegraph and Argus website here.
Thanks once again to all our customers, old and new, who continue to support our Independent, Bradford-based bike shop. We are truly grateful and on the night we were thrilled to win!
