It’s Almost Christmas!
Christmas day is on its way and it’s time to think about what to get the cyclist in your life. Here at Pennine Cycles we have put together a few ideas which will help your Christmas shopping go smoothly. When you buy your Christmas gifts from us, as always, we will go the extra mile and we will happily deliver (to the West Yorkshire area) and/or wrap your presents to save you a job!
Winter Socks – Great for Him!
We know it can be a cliche to get socks for Christmas (especially for dad) but we find many of our customers never have enough, especially thick ones for the winter months. If your feet get cold on the bike it is not much fun and we find DeFeet Woolie Boolies are the most popular, they are soft and keep your toes nice and warm during in the colder months.
If you are wanting to create your own gift a great stocking filler or Secret Santa present would be to put together an Emergency kit in case of a puncture. We love Salice’s water bottle accessory holder which fits securely into the bottle holder meaning no more stuffing pockets. In the kit you could include tyre levers, a new inner tube, a hand wipe and a mini pump.
Many cyclists don’t replace their helmets as often as they should and this would make a great present and show that you care about their safety. Helmets are compulsory on the bike and so they might as well wear one which looks good and protects their head. We recommend changing them every 2 to 3 years as they can damaged through regular wear and technology is always evolving.
A Saddle – Great for Her
Make sure that every bike ride is comfortable and give the gift of a ladies saddle. Make sure you pick one which is specifically designed for females. Fi’z:ik have a great range which look good on the bike.
A staple in any cyclists’ pockets once they start to ride longer distances should be energy products. There are a great alternative present to sweets or chocolate! CNP do a fantastic range of Energy Gels, Bars and Drinks which will make the perfect stocking filler.
If the cyclist in your life often rides in the evening and/or the winter months a great gift would be a set of lights. There are some compact, bright lights available and you can read more in our Top 10 Winter Favourites.
Treat someone special to some cycling specific clothing which will help them through the winter months. When someone is wearing the correct gear for the temperature it makes the ride much easier and more enjoyable. We would recommend winter tights or a jacket.
If you are not sure what present to get then give the gift of a Pennine Cycles voucher available in £5, £10, £15, £20 and £50 denominations, these are the perfect gift for the cyclist who has everything! To get your vouchers posted to you contact us.
This is a list of just a few items which are perfect for any last minute shopping you still have to do. If you are not sure what to get and are looking for advice get in touch and we will be happy to help.
